1. Controller & contact
Theodor (Doc) Yemenis, operator of SAIL & DIVE ADVENTURES. Postal contact details still need to be completed in the legal notice. Privacy enquiries: info@saildiveadventures.com.
2. Hosting & technical access data
The intended hosting provider is checkdomain. Serving this website requires processing technical connection data, including the requesting IP address. Depending on the hosting configuration, access and error logs may also contain request time, requested resources, response status, browser information and referrer information.
The purpose is delivery, operation, security and troubleshooting. The proposed legal basis for this technical operation is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest in providing and protecting the website. The actual processing arrangement must match the hosting service used.
Hosting log retention, server location and the applicable processing agreement are not yet confirmed. No specific retention period or conclusion of an agreement is asserted in this draft.
3. Contact by email
If you email the operator, your address, message and any information you provide are processed to answer the enquiry. The proposed basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for correspondence, or Article 6(1)(b) if the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual request. Information is retained as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any applicable legal retention obligation. Email service providers may process the correspondence as part of delivery and storage.
Providing information by email is voluntary. Without relevant contact information, an answer may not be possible.
4. Optional Google Analytics & privacy choices
This website offers optional Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Only after you select “Accept analytics” on the production domain will your browser load Google's analytics service. Before consent, after rejection and in local previews, this website does not load the Google tag. Advertising consent and Google signals remain disabled.
Analytics processes usage events, visited pages, device and browser information, and technical connection information including the IP address received by Google. It uses identifiers stored in cookies, including _ga and a property-specific _ga_ cookie, which may persist for up to two years depending on the property's settings. The purpose is to understand visits and improve this website. The legal bases are your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. Google may process data outside the EEA, including in the USA; its applicable transfer safeguards and account processing terms require verification by the operator.
You can reject analytics without losing access to any content. Use “Privacy settings” in the footer to change your choice. Withdrawal stops future measurement and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies set by this site; it does not undo earlier processing. The website stores your accepted or rejected choice and its timestamp locally on your device for 180 days, solely to remember this privacy preference. If storage is unavailable, the prompt may reappear.
Google privacy policy · Google cookie information. The Analytics account's event retention, cookie settings and processing agreement still require confirmation. No advertising features or user accounts are provided by this website.
5. Videos, illustrations & external websites
Videos are offered as links to YouTube rather than loading a YouTube player when a page is opened. Previously remote illustrations are presented as explicit links rather than being fetched automatically. A legacy tracking pixel is no longer included.
Opening an external link causes your browser to contact that provider. This may disclose your IP address and technical request information; the provider's privacy notice then applies. External destinations may operate outside the European Economic Area. Fonts and the main photographic collection are served from this website's hosting.
6. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR's conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and data portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) on grounds relating to your particular situation. If processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn for the future without affecting prior lawful processing.
You may complain to a competent data-protection authority, particularly in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement. Rights requests can be sent to the email address above.
7. Automated decisions & updates
The current site code does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and does not implement advertising profiling. Optional aggregated visitor measurement is described above. These notes describe the prepared website version; they must be updated if its services or hosting arrangements change.
Editorial review: 31 October 2026. Hosting-specific details and the operator's postal contact remain outstanding.
